Oh so tired....

So last night just after I had fallen asleep I was awoken by a very loud screeching noise. It sound to me in my newly awakened state like a screw being backed out of a very strong piece of wood. My heart racing I thought of my landlord telling me that they had screwed all the doors and windows shut in the apartment below me. After my brush with a attempted B&E in December I am a little jumpy when I hear odd noises late at night now. I did eventually go back to sleep...but it only led to some really bad dreams, that I don't remember other than to say that they were scary. So I didn't get much sleep since I kept waking up thinking someone was trying to get in.

I will be so happy when my taxes come back and I start looking for a new place.

The "Are you good with money" quiz...

You Are Okay With Money

You're about average with money, which means you probably don't have a lot of it.
Your instincts tell you to stay out of debt and spend wisely...
But you don't always listen to your instincts!
With a little more effort, you could have a nice little nest egg. You just have to control your spending.

This is so completely me.If I could control my spending a little more I would not have any credit card debit, I would have more in savings and I would feel a lot more secure in money matters. It has been my goal this year to get myself shoveled out of the debit and put more into savings...but so far it has not happend. I know that my current need to move to a more secure apartment is going to make that even harder as I will need to pay more for rent than I do now.

Long time no see update....

Ok so for the last week I have been a little lax in posting. The weekend was good. Friday night I stopped at the bar on the way home and had a few drinks with some of the guys from work.

Then Saturday afternoon I cleaned. Which entailed me and a scrub brush and my absolutely filthy kitchen floor. Since we had the winter weather from hell last week my floor had about 2 inches of road salt scum on it. Which I so couldn't hack for a single second longer. So 3 hours later my kitchen and bathroom floors had been scrubbed within a inch of their lives.

Sunday I did the laundry trip and since the last 2 times I have been to my normal laundry I have had problems with machines I decide that from now on I will go to the one in my hood and pay a little extra. So me and a treo stocked with 5 cd's and 5 ebooks went and had a good time till my mom called and finished up my time there and went shopping in target with me. I must have looked like I was talking to myself cause I was testing a new headset/hands feel call device so I just looked like I had headphones on.

Monday at work I came down with one of my nasty migraines and ended up cutting out for the day at 3pm and not going in at all on tuesday. Work has been a little hectic so I have been working a lot of hours so I don't feel bad taking the day off. The headache is mostly gone now...I just have some lingering tiredness and the small after the fact headache.

WTF?

CNN video story: No Children, No Marriage.

This story makes me question a few things, same as the Ipod banning story does. Who has the right to tell me that I can not marry or that my marriage is invalid just because I can not or choose not to have children. Marriage is not just about having children, and this story is saying that is the only reason someone would chose to marry. I can see through this as a right wing crack at defining marriage in a attempt to make gay/lesbian marriages not a possibility.

Really some days I really hate to say I am a republican.

The Weekend Update....

I know it has been a while since my last post. Life is marching on without much going on. Work is busy as normal, I have been coming home eating and then crashing most nights. This weekend I told myself I would not work at home and so far I haven't! I didn't do a ton, read a few books, did laundry at home and went tonight and did some at the laundromat. I made some food for the coming week and a ton of biscuits. So all in all my weekend has been great and restful. I have been so tired and cranky for the last couple of weeks that I needed this.

I have made the choice to go off my birth control, since it seems to not help with my mood swings and it is making my period more erratic than it already was. So that is it..I will stop taking the ones I have till I can get a appointment with a new Dr and get a different kind. Since I have sworn off the other reason I would need it I am not at all worried about going off of it. I just hope I don't go thru the same hormone roller coaster I went on when I first stared it.

I'm sorry...but give me a break!

New York may ban iPods while crossing street

I find this an invasion of my privacy. I have the right to use what ever I want while walking down the street as long as it doesn't harm another person. If I choose to use a device and then I also choose to not pay attention to my surroundings then it is my fault if I am harmed. I know this is a effort to save lives but those who choose to use these thing need to take some responsibility for what they do while using them!
